Please read carefully before registering for a course. We will take purchase of a course as acceptance of the following terms and conditions:
- The tuition fees for the classes at Manchester Chinese Academy of Dance (MCAD) are charged on a per term basis and cannot be refunded after successful registration. If there are outstanding circumstances, please contact the school for a course transfer.
- During the teaching period, our school will record the classes in the form of photos or videos. These photos and videos are recorded to allow students to review after class and they are also used for promotional activities. You are welcome to forward our school’s course videos and photos. For commercial use, you will need to obtain authorisation from MCAD. If the content infringes your copyright or privacy, please contact us and we will seek to have the content removed. - In order to ensure the safety of students, students are requested to wear close-fitting, comfortable or sporty clothing, have their hair tied back, and not to wear any accessories.
- If the epidemic in Manchester deteriorates to a complete government lockdown during the teaching period, all offline courses will be completed online.
Notes for Online Live Lessons
- If you need to take time off for online courses, please notify the school before the class. There will be video recordings for each class, therefore, students do not have to worry about missing classes. The class video will be sent to the students in the form of a private link. The students can watch and study the video recording of each class repeatedly. If you have any questions, you can contact the instructor directly.
- In order to ensure the quality of teaching and class experience, please be sure to turn on the video camera and ensure your microphone is muted during class, so that the teacher can check the students’ actions in real time and give instant feedback.
- We will put the safety of students first. The content of our dance course will not include moves with a high risk factor. At the same time, we also need your cooperation to ensure the openness and safety of the classroom environment.
- In order to ensure the safety of students, students are requested to wear close-fitting and comfortable clothing or clothing suitable for sports, have their hair tied back, and not to wear any accessories.

The instructions to join the meeting is as follows:
- Search and download Zoom in the App store or Google Play store
- After the download is complete, enter the software and click Join a Meeting
Fill in the Meeting ID in the first field
Fill in your own name in the second field (remember to be the same as the basic information filled in when registering, so that the teacher can register everyone in the class)

Don’t check the first one, otherwise you won’t hear the teacher’s voice. We hope that students will not check the second button and turn on the video, so that teachers can see your actions and provide timely guidance and corrections.
After entering the class, remember to mute your own voice. This can reduce the noise during class and let everyone hear the teacher’s voice more clearly.

Device connection:
In order to have a higher quality of online courses, if possible, you can project the course onto the TV screen. The following is a simple guide. If you have any questions during the operation, you can ask the course consultant.
Instructions for offline teaching
- If you need to ask for leave, you must inform the instructor or course consultant at least one day in advance.
- All offline courses will be adjusted to small classes. The students in each class are determined according to the student’s living area and level, and will be strictly controlled to contain less than 10 students. During the class, each student will keep a distance of more than 1.5 meters (the classroom floor will be marked), and the dance classroom will be disinfected every 2 hours.
- In order to control the number of people in a space, family members or friends of students will not be allowed to wait inside the studio during class. At the end of the course, we will arrange for the students to leave the classroom in an orderly manner. Parents are invited to pick up and drop off the students outside the dance classroom. If there are special circumstances, please make sure to wear a mask indoors, or please contact the instructor or course consultant first.
- All students must perform pre-class disinfection and temperature testing according to UK school regulations, and enter the classroom in an orderly manner. Students whose body temperature exceeds 37.5 degrees Celsius will not be allowed to continue the dance class. Parents will need to leave after the students have taken the temperature test.
